PR Assistant ("the extension") helps developers generate pull request titles and descriptions on GitHub using the Google Gemini API.

What data we collect

• Gemini API key: Stored locally in your browser using Chrome's storage API. This key never leaves your device except when sent directly to Google's Gemini API to generate content.
• GitHub page content: When you use the extension on a GitHub pull request compare page, we read commit messages, branch names, and changed file names from that page in order to generate a PR title and description.

How we use this data

The collected data (commit messages, branch names, file names, and any optional instructions you provide) is sent to the Google Gemini API solely to generate a pull request title and description. This data is not stored on any server we control.

Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties. Data is only transmitted to Google's Gemini API as described above, strictly to fulfill the extension's single purpose.

Data storage

Your Gemini API key is stored locally in your browser only. We do not operate any backend servers and do not retain copies of your data.

Your choices

You can remove your stored API key at any time by clearing the extension's storage via Chrome's extension settings, or by uninstalling the extension.
